About Jay Johnson

Hello, my name is Jay Johnson. I use my background and experience gained over the years to help advise clients in making the right decisions when it comes to buying and selling investment property.

My Background

I was orginally licensed as a Realtor in 2003 and worked as an agent at Edina Realty selling single family homes, duplexes and four plexes. I begain focusing more and more on investment properties. The reason is that I want to own investment property myself because it is such a great wealth building strategy. As I was focusing more and more on investment properties, I discovered that the broker RHS Realty had a division with several other agents that were also focusing on selling investment property and decided to move there in 2005. I enjoyed this new direction. More importantly while I was selling investment property, I learned from my clients how to evaluate investment property based on condition, needed repairs, and financial return on investment.

Currently

In 2007 I advanced my real estate career, earned my brokers license and formed Direct Realty, LLC. I am completely focused on advising investment property clients on buying and selling investment property. My experence benefits my clients economically and helps them make the right decisions.

Personal Investing

I am know stranger to being a landlord or buying and selling real estate myself. I can relate from personal experience the good, the bad and the ugly. I have owned townhomes and a single family home alsong with mananging tenants myself.

To this day, I am still convinced that owning investment property is a great wealth building strategy. There are challanges and opportunities out there in finding the right investment property.
